Meet Savannah “Savvy” Swaisland
Founder | Tourism Trailblazer | Experience Curator
Savannah “Savvy” Swaisland is a proud Métis entrepreneur, award-winning winemaker, and visionary tourism operator based in the heart of the South Okanagan. As the founder of Grape Savvy Wine Tours, Savvy has built a reputation for blending authenticity, nostalgia, and high-end hospitality into every experience she curates.

Our Story

Before launching Grape Savvy, Savvy built a strong foundation in the world of fine wine, hospitality, and tourism. A Tourism Management diploma graduate (2011) from Capilano University, a WSET level 3 and Certified Sommelier graduate (2014), and Viticulture Management graduate (Okanagan College, 2015), she brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in fine dining, winery operations, and destination management. Her journey also includes an impressive chapter as an award-winning winemaker, giving her an insider’s perspective into the vineyards and wineries she now proudly showcases.
What began with one 15 passenger van in 2019 has grown into a multi-fleet transportation company offering hop-on-hop-off wine tours, private charters, large group experiences, event shuttles, and late-night safe ride services — all driven by a commitment to responsible tourism and authentic community connection. Today, Grape Savvy is recognized as a leading force in South Okanagan wine country transportation, specializing in unforgettable large group adventures and Indigenous cultural experiences, such as the "Saddle up & Sip" Tour, developed in collaboration with Syilx/Okanagan-owned businesses.
Savvy’s work is deeply rooted in resilience, Indigenous representation, and the belief that extraordinary things can be built from wherever you are — with whatever you have. As a certified Indigenous business owner and passionate advocate, Savvy is blazing trails for Indigenous women in tourism and business, while mentoring others to create brands with authenticity, impact, and heart.
When she’s not curating unforgettable wine country experiences, you’ll find Savvy hiking in the mountains with her son Mavrick, partner Andrew and husky Kaya exploring BC’s rugged beauty, or dreaming up her next big idea.
