Saddle Up & Sip:
An Indigenous Agro-Culinary Experience in the South Okanagan
A truly immersive full-day experience where culture, land, wine, and adventure come together.
Offered in exclusive partnership with Indian Grove Riding Stables and Nk’Mip Cellars, this one-of-a-kind journey invites you to experience the South Okanagan through the lens of Indigenous storytelling, agriculture, and connection to place.
✨ The Experience
Your day begins with pickup in Penticton at approximately 9:30 AM aboard our nostalgic, desert-chic Grape Savvy Champagne Trolley, setting the tone for a scenic journey south to Osoyoos. Upon arrival at Beef & Bean, the experience opens with a warm welcome, coffee, and an intimate storytelling session with Syilx Elder Jane Stelkia (95)—an opportunity to connect deeply with the land, its history, and the sacred relationship between the Syilx people and the wild horses.
From there, step into an unforgettable extended two-hour beach ride with Indian Grove Riding Stables. Traverse sagebrush trails and rolling desert hills before arriving at the shoreline of Osoyoos Lake, where you’ll ride alongside and into the water with your horse—an experience that is both grounding and exhilarating.
After your ride, indulge in a seated wine tasting at Nk’Mip Cellars, North America’s first Indigenous-owned winery, where culture and winemaking come together in a truly meaningful way.
The experience concludes with a locally inspired lunch at Sweetgrass Restaurant, overlooking the vineyards and lake—a moment to unwind, reflect, and take in the beauty of the day.
